Matthew J. Adam

Matthew J. Adam is a member of Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman where he practices in business and tax law and in the criminal defense area. Mr. Adam is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippie College of Business where he teaches Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship.

Real Estate. Mr. Adam primarily handles both commercial and residential real estate transactions. In addition, he represents clients regarding the legal aspects of various real estate issues including annexation, zoning, real estate development, commercial leases, condominiums and 1031 exchanges.

Corporate Transactions Business Counseling. Mr. Adam advises businesses of all sizes and their members regarding entity organization, operations, governance, and planning; which includes the review, negotiation, and drafting of contracts related to mergers, sales and purchases of assets or stock, reorganizations, redemptions and buy-sell agreements.

Family Law. Mr. Adam represents individuals in all aspects of family dispute resolution, including traditional litigation. 

Criminal Law. Mr. Adam defends clients against charges of victimless crimes such as DUIs, assault, drug prosession and more. 

Matt has obtained his private pilot license and enjoys flying, golfing, sports and spending time with his family.
